That’s a Wrap!
The 2025 Flowerpot Festival ran from 1st – 30th June, and what a month it was! Our village was once again transformed by your amazing creations, with flowerpots of every shape and size turning Flamborough into a place full of smiles, laughter, and community spirit.
And together, thanks to trail map and festival memorabilia sales, we raised a fantastic £1,500!

After inviting local groups to apply for funding, Team Potty met in September and awarded six local clubs and groups with grants ranging from £100 to £350.
This year’s fundraising went to:

-
Flamborough First Brownies
-
Flamborough Bowls Club
-
Flamborough Village Hall
-
Friends of Flamborough School
-
Flamborough School “Little Sprouts” Gardening Group
-
Flamborough Flippers Sea Swimming Group
We’re so proud to support these brilliant organisations that bring so much to our community.

📚 Flamborough in Fiction!

We’re thrilled to share a special feature from mystery author Mona Marple, who’s taken inspiration from our very own Flowerpot Festival for her latest book series!

In her beautifully written blog, “Flamborough Flowerpot Festival: A Quirky Yorkshire Tradition & the Inspiration Behind My New Mystery Series,” Mona captures the magic, creativity, and community spirit that makes our festival so special — and reveals how it’s become the backdrop for her brand new Yorkshire Mysteries.

From Elvis to Spiderman, and all the wonderfully weird creations in between, Mona’s words celebrate the heart of what we do here in Flamborough.

✨ Pop the kettle on and enjoy the read below — and who knows, you might spot a familiar pot or two...
